Performative Show “Traces of Time. Those Who Leave”

“Traces of Time. Those Who Leave” is a performative project by STARCHAK, presented as part of Lviv Fashion Week. It explores time, memory, and human presence through the language of fashion and contemporary art.

At the heart of the project is a canvas transformed into a living archive of the moment. Walking barefoot through paint, participants leave physical imprints of their steps, turning movement into a document of time. Each trace captures a fleeting presence and reminds us that even the smallest gesture can become part of history.

The performance brought together artists, designers, and creatives, emphasizing that art emerges through interaction—between people, space, and the present moment.

The show featured archival garments from across STARCHAK’s collections. Reintroduced in a new context, these pieces acquire new meaning, reminding us that clothing preserves the memory of its time and of those who created and wore it.

“Traces of Time. Those Who Leave” is a reflection on what we leave behind. It is about memory being created in the present, and about art that exists not after the moment has passed, but within the moment itself.
